What a great end to 2011 to find out we had won the Gold True Taste Award for Eating Out (no rooms). Its great to think all the lovely fresh local produce that surrounds us here in Pembrokeshire is one of the reasons we won. We are so lucky to have an abundance of great local suppliers to draw on and help enchance our menus. Looking forward to celebrating with lots more local produce on our menu for 2012.

18th September to 19th September
Cwtch, was this year invited to demonstrate at the Abergavenny Food Festival (September 18-19th). The festival now in its 11th year, attracted over 50,000 people with the good weather helping to contribute to the best attended festival so far. Cwtch was asked to cook some of its sample dishes at the Great Welsh Restaurant Tasters - a new event at the festival designed for the festival goers to spend an hour in the company of some of Wales' best restaurants. Top chefs and restaurateurs from across the nation were invited to cook their signature dishes, offer samples of their food and tell inside stories from the restaurant trade. Matt cooked up a delicious menu of Welsh Black Beef Bruchetta, Lamb with crushed new potates, chorizo and broad beans, and he also took up Andy's amazing chocolate brownie cake as a finale to a great demonstration.
Cwtch has confirmed its place as one of the top restaurants in Wales by earning a coveted place in the 2009 Michelin Red Guide. Cwtch was one of just four new Welsh entries in what is considered by many to be the leading guide to restaurants not just in the UK but in much of the world. We're delighted that we have made the grade for such a prestigious guide. It's really rewarding to be recognised in this way and a real pat on the back for the staff.
